    The Woods Amphitheater at Fontanel

    Fontanel is a large estate just outside of Nashville in Whites Creek, Tennessee. Situated on the hillside of Fontanel is The Woods Amphitheater. Opened in 2014, this 8,500 seat amphitheater hosts a variety of concerts and other events throughout the year. The amphitheater includes:

    • An open lawn area.
    • The covered pavilion.
    • Two sets of restrooms.
    • Three concession stands.

    The Woods Amphitheater at Fontanel is just one part of this massive estate that has been in development since Barbara Mandrell originally purchased the property in 1979.

    The Idea Hatchery at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center

    The Nashville Entrepreneur Center houses over twenty coworking spaces and a variety of business incubators for start-ups, all in one location. Inside their Idea Hatchery, you will find an open concept space with large tables surrounded by chairs and whiteboards lining the walls.

    It is undoubtedly one of the most exciting things to do in Nashville. The idea is to have attendees collaborate with other start-ups, share ideas and help grow each other’s business.

    Nashville Entrepreneur Center guides its tenants to success through their entrepreneurial communities called “tribes,” which meet at specific times throughout the week.

    Fort Negley

    Fort Negley is a historic location during the civil war, which played an essential role in the Battle of Nashville. Located at 1100 Fort Negley Boulevard, this site also has information on what life was like for freed slaves after their emancipation from slavery.

    The park includes walking trails and picnic facilities and a gift shop and museum to explore that outlines the history of the fort.

    The Cheekwood Estate and Gardens

    This beautiful estate is home to The Frist Center for the Visual Arts, The University of Tennessee’s Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, the largest private horticulture collection in the state of Tennessee, walking gardens, and several other attractions.

    It also houses two museums (the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts and The Cheekwood Modern Art museum). It includes multiple acres of walking trails that explore the estate and is one of the best things to do in Nashville for someone who wants a break from city life or loves art, gardens, or history. The beauty and allure of the gardens are certainly something to behold.

    The Treasure Hunt at Belle Meade Plantation

    This one-of-a-kind scavenger hunt is an excellent way to spend your day for the young and the young at heart. It is one of the most unusual things you can do while in the US.

    There are ten different treasure hunts that you can participate in, with points awarded for pictures of your team with items found on the hunt. According to their website, there are more than 1200 items hidden around Belle Meade Plantation. The treasure hunt can get slightly competitive as teams are awarded points for each item found.
