Taylor Swift has shared a statement about the new Netflix comedy Ginny & Georgia in response to a line of dialogue that references her: “You go through men faster than Taylor Swift.” Sharing a screenshot of the subtitled dialogue, Swift writes, “Hey Ginny & Georgia, 2010 called and it wants its lazy, deeply sexist joke back. How about we stop degrading hard working women by defining this horse shit as FuNnY.”
“Also, @netflix after Miss Americana this outfit doesn’t look cute on you,” she continues, referencing her 2020 documentary that was distributed by the streaming platform. “Happy Women’s History Month I guess.” See her tweet below.
Pitchfork has reached out to representatives for Swift and Netflix for further comment.
