The players themselves might have mixed feelings about it, but NBA All-Star Weekend remains a magical time to be a basketball fan. Each year, in addition to all the high-flying dunks and long-range jumpers, the All-Star Game also offers hoopers a major stage to absolutely stunt on each other style-wise. It’s become a prime time for brands to drop high-profile sneakers and collaborations—and this year’s edition is no exception.
To start, it wouldn’t really be an All-Star Weekend without Nike delivering some covetable, next-level kicks. First up from the Swoosh is the beloved Dunk High in an eye-catching “Barely Green” colorway. The two-toned sneaker features a glossy black leather mixed with a bluish-green hue—which, true to its name, really is barely green—as well as a badge commemorating the upcoming hoops festivities.
Nike Basketball will also be dropping its “Play for the Future” collection, which includes remixed signature sneakers from LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Paul George. All of the kicks are constructed using at least 25% recycled material by weight—promising to provide all the same on-court tech while moving towards a more sustainable future.
And then there’s the standout fashion collaboration of the weekend: Rhude and Canada Goose. For the uninitiated, Rhude is the Los Angeles-based brand beloved by everyone from LeBron to Justin Bieber to Jay-Z. The four-piece collection includes some extremely winter-friendly jackets and vests, which have been updated with bigger, boxier silhouettes and color blocking in bold tones. To really hammer home the three-way partnership, each piece comes emblazoned with badges from Rhude, Canada Goose, and the NBA. If you act quick, you can still shop the collection via Canada Goose.
The beauty about the NBA’s status as the country’s most style-forward sports league is that it means there’s truly something for everyone this weekend. Maybe you’ll tune in on Sunday to witness the halftime dunk contest or the return of the Elam Ending, or maybe you’re just in it for the hot sneaker drops and the designer co-signed outerwear. Either way, everybody wins.
